Former Planned Parenthood clinic director, now Pro-Life Abby Johnson "identified 40 Days for Life as the SINGLE MOST EFFECTIVE pro-life activity that YOU can participate in locally to change hearts and minds about abortion. WOW!" Help to cover the vigil site (Planned Parenthood, 472 Pleasant St, Worcester) from 7AM –7PM for each of the 40 days. From the Newsletter: Just the other day, we were watching the old TV show “I Love Lucy,” specifically the episode “Lucy Goes to the Hospital.” You might remember it. Lucy is pregnant and has started to go into labor. Like many fathers, Ricky is very anxious. To help calm him, Lucy invites Ethel and Fred upstairs; but then she is surrounded by three anxious people. She goes to lie down. At this point, Ricky, Ethel, and Fred begin to rehearse their roles for when it’s time for Lucy to go to the hospital. Their rehearsal begins with Ricky, pretending he is Lucy, saying very dramatically, “The time has come.” Well, the time has come for our fall campaign. Each of us has a role, and this Wednesday we will join thousands of others in 301 locations in 48 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Canada, England, Spain, Germany, Australia, and Argentina to begin 40 days of prayer, fasting, and peaceful public vigil for an end to abortion. Our prayers will be for women who are contemplating abortion, for the conversion of those involved in the abortion industry, and for healing for the many who are hurting after abortion.
