Cardinal Sean knew
In June of 2015 Fr. Boniface Ramsey, pastor of St. Joseph's Church Yorkville in New York City wrote a letter to Cardinal Sean O'Malley of Boston detailing allegations of "sexual abuse/harassment/intimidation" against then-Cardinal Theodore McCarrick. Fr. Ramsey added that if the matter didn't fall under his purview, to forward it to the "proper agency in the Vatican." Fr. Ramsey got a reply from Fr. Robert Kickham — O'Malley's secretary, driver and closest aide that in effect there was nothing that coould be done because the allegations did not involve minors.
Cardinal Sean, when asked about this incident denied, in a legal way, knowing about this report on McCarrick. The story below indicates O'Malley used Clintonesque language to do this, avoiding saying anything about what he knew, saying only that "he did not personally receive" the letter. But he admitted that his office reviewed the letter.
Someone needs to ask Cardinal Sean directly what he knew and when he knew it.
