Sep 3 Sat 11AM-1PM 1st Saturday Devotion at Our Lady of Mercy Maronite Catholic Church June St. Worc, Confessions, Rosary, Divine Mercy Chaplet, Noon Divine Liturgy Maronite Rite. The Maronites are Eastern Rite Catholics from Lebanon, named for St Maron, always loyal to the Pope even when surrounded by Muslims for hundreds of years. Their liturgy was developed by St. James the Apostle, in Antioch, while our Roman Rite Liturgy was developed by St. Peter the Apostle in Rome. Very Similar, but also distinct.
