Assumption College Professor Michael True has an As I See It editorial in Today’s Worcester Telegram, which waxes nostalgic for the 1960’s, apparently a purer time when the promise of Vatican II and Liberation Theology appeared poised to transform the world into a better place, while signaling a renaissance in the Church’s moral and religious leadership. I actually grew up with his kids. These old guys are retiring, and dying, and just are recruiting anyone young, so the future at Assumption will eventually get better.
I am genuinely concerned about where to send my daughter to college. It's only 4 years away and I don't see the radical liberalism that dominates most colleges as abating fast enough.
Franciscan University, Stuebenville, Ohio would be a good choice. Also Christendom College another. We sent, (at great sacrifice)--our last two daughters to Franciscan Stuebenville. They were both very happy going there.
There's about 8 truly Catholic Universities. Don't forget Ave Maria; the University is now in Florida, the College is still in Michigan, but I'm not sure if they are accepting any Freshmen.
Thomas Aquinas in California too.
If your kid is a fighter, you could send them to the battlefields of Holy Cross and Providence College, but that could be a tall order for most kids, the risk could be too much
