Jo Massarelli and Marc Tumeinski opened their home to their Beloved Ron Wehrle, who returned from a 3 week hospital stay this past Monday. Ron’s liver had failed and he appeared to be in his final days, as Jo put it “Medicine has done it's very best for Ron, so now it is time to come home and be with those who love him.” Jo and Marc had opened their home on Oxford Street to all who would like to visit Ron and/or pray the Liturgy of the Hours, and some dear friends did make it, but Monday evening rRon passed away. His Wake will be in the lower chapel at St. Paul's this Thursday 4-7pm with funeral Mass Friday 10am at the cathedral. RIP.

Romney Gives Marriage Reinforce Mitt
Mitt Romney may not be running for president again, but there is one issue he's still campaigning for -- marriage. The former governor, who was criticized for not doing more to try to stop the Massachusetts Supreme Court from imposing same-sex "marriage" on his state, is not mincing words. With state amendments being attacked one-by-one in the era of Obama lawlessness, Romney is back in the spotlight, speaking up for the millions of Americans who feel like they're losing their voice. The Republican nominee wasn't willing to concede marriage then -- and, on NBC's Meet the Press, he showed he isn't willing to now either.

"I think marriage is a relationship between a man and a woman," Romney said.
"And I think the ideal setting for raising a child is in a setting where there's a father and mother. Despite what the media wants people to believe, Republicans haven't "lost" the gay marriage issue, he explained. "I think you stand for various principles, you communicate those to the American people, and they either support those or not. Sometimes if something is lost, while you move on to the next issue, you wish you had won that one but you move on. In this case, it continues to be an issue that people find relevant and important, something that is being considered in various states around the country."

Like most Americans, he thinks it should be up to the states -- not judges -- to define marriage. "I do believe, by the way, that it's best decided by the people rather than the courts," Romney said. "When the courts step in and make a decision of this nature, they're removing from the people something which they have the right to decide themselves."

Beyond Belief: The World of the Persecuted Church
Habila Adamu will never be a household name in America -- but to the millions of persecuted Christians in Eastern Africa, he is a symbol of the fierce courage it takes to live by faith in the face of death. Fourteen months ago, the Nigerian businessman was at home when two masked gunman showed up at his door and ordered his wife to leave. We're here, they said, "to do the work of Allah." Pointing their AK-47s in his direction, the shooters asked if Habila was a Christian. "Yes," he replied. They asked him why he hadn't accepted Islam, despite hearing the message of Mohammed. Again, he told them, "I am a Christian. We are also preaching the gospel of the true God to you and to other people who do not yet know God." "Are you ready to die as a Christian?" the men sneered. "I am ready to die as a Christian," he told them. They asked him one more time -- and before Habila could finish, a bullet silenced him, permanently.

Mark Fisher, candidate for Governor, the only candidate the Pro-Life could vote for. Vote values - Fisher for the Primary. Scott Lively will run as an Independent.
Scott publically stated that if Mark wins the Primary and carries the true conservative banner, he would step aside and support Mark in the General. Two honorable men indeed.

the original dangerous, right-wing, tea-bagging, homophobic, Christian Neanderthal Extremist

The Original, Right-Wing Extremist: George Washington

By Dave the Sage
Tuesday, February 11, 2014

One can reasonably presume how today's Left would characterize and attack the person I am about to describe to you. Without a doubt, he would be characterized as some sort of dangerous, right-wing, tea-bagging, homophobic, Christian Neanderthal who should be maligned, attacked, marginalized, silenced, and driven from power. Character assassination has become the weapon of choice for those who so forcefully peddle the liberal/progressive ideology. It is relentlessly used to silence all those who stand in opposition to the myriad of 'isms' they champion as they seek to "fundamentally transform" the country and society. I sincerely doubt they would spare him.

He was the commanding General of the Army and later a two-term president. Unwavering and dedicated, he had a deep-set of personal beliefs and never faltered from his chosen path.
He called morality "a necessary spring of popular government" and while in command of the army he ordered "vice and immorality of every kind discouraged." Accustomed to undertaking daily devotions, he ordered worship for the army every Sunday and had twenty thousand Bibles imported for the troops. He even had the audacity to state "to the distinguished character of Patriot, it should be our highest glory to add the more distinguished character of Christian." Can you imagine how those who worship at the altar of the 'separation of church and state' would react to such actions and utterances?

He was devoted and married to the same woman his entire life and appears to have never fallen for the temptation of affairs or mistresses during his marriage. His army was probably the first in history to not have a large corps of camp followers filled with harlots and trollops following in its wake. He firmly forbade looting of any kind and quickly drummed out of the army those caught engaging in sodomy.
He was a staunch defender of the right individual to keep and bear arms. He declared that "a free people ought to be armed" and never challenged or questioned the right of individuals to privately own the most advanced firearms of the day.
So who was this man who championed such principles that stand in such stark contrast to modern-day liberals and Progressives?
His name was George Washington.

Discipline, honor, principle, self-reliance, and personal responsibility were all epitomized by George Washington and are deeply valued by the conservative movement. Sobriety and modesty, as well as interest in character and morals were championed by him in both public and private. Such values are timeless and are just as important today as they were then.
The man who could have been king of a new country instead helped birth a constitutional Republic. It is our job as conservatives to protect and defend the ideals of that Republic from those who seek to dismantle it and protect and preserve the traditions and values of Western Civilization that have been passed down to us. Conservatism is no "Johnny come lately" political ideology, but one that was, in reality and in practice, championed by the Father of our country and whose roots and fundamental principles run back all the way to the very beginning of Western Civilization.

The fact is that all the various political or ideological graphs and lines, for some reason, put those who believe in small government, constitutional governance, traditional values, and free enterprise over to the "far right" of the American political spectrum and attempt to infer that it is an extreme position are fundamentally flawed. Instead, that should be the starting, middle point of the American ideological spectrum.

For that is where most of the Founders of the country including George Washington would be found. Instead, it is all ideologies and isms that champion corporatism, globalism, the mainstreaming of homosexuality, socialism, the dismantling of traditional marriage and the nuclear family unit, and disrespect for the fundamental sanctity of innocent human life that are in fact the extremes and should be portrayed as such. For they are the positions that stray from the path, morals, values, and ideals of the founding of the Republic. It is they who pose the danger to the fundamental character, ideals, and beliefs that this country was founded upon.

The man who was "first in war, first in peace, and first in the hearts of his countrymen" and called the "Father of his country" even during his lifetime is one that should be emulated in many ways. Yet such a man today, in the eyes of liberalism, would be one worthy of derision and condemnation. Not all ideologies are of equal worth, and I'll gladly stand by one practiced by George Washington, the "original, right-wing extremist."

Shakti, yoga goddess of abortion

It just occurred to me, that the chief Yoga goddess Shakti "is seen as the divine force that destroys evil and restores balance: she 'represents the cosmic energy of destruction of the ego, which stands in the way of spiritual growth and ultimate liberation.'[1] In some instances, Shakti assumes the role of Parvati, the energy and consort of Shiva; in other instances, the role of Lakshmi, the energy and consort of Vishnu. The most fearsome role Shakti plays is as Kali, the “Dark Mother” goddess, who, standing naked, wears a garland of skulls around her neck and a belt of heads around her waist, wielding a bloody sword and clutching a severed head. It is not uncommon for Yoga teachers to recommend tapping into this feminine-divine source of empowerment."

Does this sound like the goddess of abortion? And all his false promises? I mean all those cut off heads?

Please take the time today to send a 'thank you' note to the Chairman of the Republican Party, Reince Priebus, for his clear and courageous defense of marriage and life.
Priebus has long expressed his support for marriage and life, and a blog post from Friday reminds us of how strongly he has stood for these unique and critical values as the leader of the GOP.
The blog, recounting an interview Priebus did earlier with another network, explains that "[Priebus] and the GOP believe that "marriage is between one man and one woman." But he adds that the belief has "to be draped in the concepts of grace, love, and respect." It goes on to quote him further:
I do believe, and I still will tell you that our party believes, that marriage is between one man and one woman. Our party believes that life begins at conception. I think those are foundational issues that aren't going anywhere, but what I have said - which I don't think should be controversy at all, and I would think that Christians and pastors and everyone in between should agree - that our principles have to be draped in the concepts of grace, love and respect and that's not code language.

Contraception and Catholicism, by Dr. Angela Franks, Ph.D
Perhaps one of the most controversial teachings of the Catholic Church's social doctrine concerns contraception. It is one of the most widely discussed topics within the Church and by the secular media. Clergy and laity, alike, grapple with how to embrace the teaching that conjugal love is to be expressed within marriage and always open to the gift of a child. Here, in the Boston Archdiocese, Dr. Angela Franks, Ph.D and her husband, Dr. David Franks, Ph.D, are helping to spread the word that the Church's teaching about marriage and the family is both rational and the only way to true fulfillment.
