Don't Vote for Obama

Those of you who read this blog (both of you) know I'm Pro-Life, and always recommend against Pro-Choice Politicians, especially the ones who promote absolutly no restiction to abortion, abortion on demand for whatever reason, including mental health issues that include the woman does not want anymore children (Doe v. Bolton)

Now that I have publicly said do not vote for Barack Obama for President, let's see if Google will accomplish what John H. could not.

Goggle, which owns Blogger.com, has shut down anti-Obama blog sites on Blogger.

-By Warner Todd Huston
It looks like Google has officially joined the Barack Obama campaign and decided that its contribution would be to shut down any blog on the Google owned Blogspot.com blogging system that has an anti-Obama message. Yes, it sure seems that Google has begun to go through its many thousands of blogs to lock out the owners of anti-Obama blogs so that the noObama message is effectively squelched. Thus far, Google has terminated the access by blog owners to 7 such sites and the list may be growing. Boy, it must be nice for Barack Obama to have an ally powerful enough to silence his opponents like that!

It isn't just conservative sites that Google's Blogger platform is eliminating. For instance, www.comealongway.blogspot.com has been frozen and this one is a Hillary supporting site. The operator of Come a Long Way has a mirror site off the Blogspot platform and has today posted this notice:

I used to have a happy internet home on Blogger: www.comealongway.blogspot.com. Then on Wednesday night, June 25, I received the following e-mail:

Dear Blogger user,

This is a message from the Blogger team.

Your blog, at http://comealongway.blogspot.com/, has been identified as a potential spam blog. You will not be able to publish posts to your blog until we review your site and confirm that it is not a spam blog.

Sincerely,

The Blogger Team

It turns out that there is an interesting pattern where it concerns the blogs that Google's Blogspot team have summarily locked down on their service. They all belong to the Just Say No Deal coalition, a group of blogs that are standing against the Obama campaign. It seems the largest portion of these blogs are Hillary supporting blogs, too.

All I can say is, WOW! If Google is willing to abuse its power like this even against fellow leftists, what does it plan against conservatives, the folks Google hates even more!?

Here is a list of the Blogspot blogs that have been frozen by Google thus far:

Root Cause

Great Post on the The Hermeneutic of Continuity blog on a talk by Claire and Stuart McCullogh about the real reasons women seek abortions: hint - they realize it is a live baby but feel coerced into this choice because they forgot (or do not understand) the connection between sex and pregnancy. Sampling:

One of the implications of their experience is that "proving" that the fetus is human is not the most important thing. Women know this but feel that in their case they have to make this choice. It is much more important to prevent the cause of abortion at its root, namely sex with no intention of having children.

The "reason" for abortion in most cases is "contraceptive failure". The majority of the women they see are using contraception, have assumed that it works, and that they will never have a child. It doesn't always work and the failure rate is cumulative so a great many partners who are contracepting will sooner or later be faced with an "unplanned pregnancy"...

Therefore they encouraged the priests not to limit themselves to speaking about the evils of abortion, but to tackle the root cause which is sex before marriage and the use of contraception. Without tackling these issues, preaching about abortion will be limited in its effects.

Prayer works.

LifeSiteNews is reporting that another late term abortion clinic (after 16 weeks - Worcester Planned Parenthood does up through 18 weeks) is closing in Dallas, the eight Texas abortion clinic to close since Bishop Charles Grahmann began leading a monthly "Second Saturday Rosary" outside of these death camps.

Please join us outside Planned Parenthood on Lincoln St. in Worcester, MA, in the parking lot of the former Problem Pregnancy at 623 Lincoln, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday mornings for our Prayer Vigil protests.

Intimidation Factor

As I have posted before in opposition to John H., that the person is to be loved, but homosexual acts are immoral and need to be labeled as such, and John has engaged in what I call intimidation (not dialog) I refer you all to the following.

Gen. Peter Pace, when he was on the Joint Chiefs of Staff said "I believe homosexual acts between two individuals are immoral and that we should not condone immoral acts, including adultery."

I commented here

Gen. Pace did not stay on the Joint Chiefs for another term due to pressure from the homosexual lobby. President Bush recently honored Pace.

Elaine Donnelly of the Center for Military Readiness says the award is richly deserved, but "Now we have two homosexual activist groups [Service Members Legal Defense Network and PFLAG] going nuclear, using nasty epithets aimed at the general ... The reaction of these two groups, in my opinion, is disrespectful to millions of people who do not share their views," chides Donnelly. "These groups claim to advocate tolerance, but the attitude of the [LGBT individuals] ... take intolerance to an extreme."

So much for Tolerance. It's a strange time when one cannot question the morality of specific acts that have throughout history been considered immoral, the same acts that seem to obstinantly persist throughout history, the same acts that are now proclaimed not only legal but "sanctified". I don't think so.

A common trait of this intimidation is to misrepresent what was actually said, as John H. has done and as the SLDN did on their web site: Gen. Pace clearly said that homosexual acts are immoral, yet the SLDN posts on their Web site that he "infamously called lesbians and gays 'immoral.'"

There is a huge difference between calling homosexual sex or adultery immoral and calling the people that commit these acts immoral. Perhaps the reason John H. and I cannot dialog is because he works for a group that is so intent on promoting their agenda, on forcing their morality on others, that they cannot accurately report the facts, going so far as to misrepresent what the Saints and Doctors of the Church actually said, e.g. St. Peter Damian.

St. Peter Damian

"Just as Saint Basil establishes that those who incur sins (against nature) … should be subjected not only to a hard penance but a public one, and Pope Siricius prohibits penitents from entering clerical orders, one can clearly deduce that he who corrupts himself with a man through the ignominious squalor of a filthy union does not deserve to exercise ecclesiastical functions, since those who were formerly given to vices…become unfit to administer the Sacraments."

Saint Peter Damian’s Liber Gomorrhianus (Book of Gomorrha)1051

Crisis, what Crisis?

Renowned British anthropologist, Joseph Unwin, PhD., presented a comprehensive study to the British Psychological Society in 1935. Unwin sought to prove that the traditional monogamous model for marriage was not essential to the maintenance of a healthy society. After studying 86 different cultures, across time and continents –and much to his surprise — he came to the inescapable conclusion that the traditional male-female monogamous model for marriage was indeed the best foundation for a healthy and productive society.

Unwin found that societies that adopted this model typically took about three generations to reach their peak of productivity and progress. After that, frequently, a gradual development of complacency and licentiousness would take place and what he described as an ”outburst of homosexuality” would sometimes occur. When that happened, and the society started to move away from the traditional model of male-female monogamous marriage as its foundation, it would begin to unravel. It would then take another three generations of deterioration from that point for the society to collapse.

Be not afraid

"I only know it is God's Will and all that is to happen. But I do want to say that there is no reason to fear, because the Blessed Mother does not want faith to come from fear. That faith does not last. There is no reason to fear."

"Pray for priests, stop judging and criticizing them, If we judge we will also be judged...Americans think they are the worst in the world but I have only the best to say about pilgrims from the U.S. They have an excellent culture of behavior and do so many things very well."
"I'm allowed only to report the words that Mary gives to me, I have no right to speak on them, but I think they are clear."

The Pope on Conscience

A discussion had arisen at a German University concerning whether an unrepentant Adolph Hitler, and his Nazi followers, could have entered heaven. One of Cardinal Ratzinger's colleagues had argued that "the objective terribleness of their deeds notwithstanding, they acted morally, subjectively speaking. Since they followed their (albeit mistaken) consciences, one would have to recognize their conduct as moral, and as a result, should not doubt their eternal salvation."

But our future Pope knew that "a concept of conscience which leads to such conclusions must be false. For, subjective conviction and the lack of doubts and scruples which follow therefrom do not justify man."

"But it can very well be wrong to have come to such askew convictions in the first place, by having stifled the protest of the anamnesis of being. The guilt lies then in a different place, much deeper—not in the present act, not in the present judgment of conscience but in the neglect of my being which made me deaf to the internal promptings of truth. For this reason, criminals of conviction like Hitler and Stalin are guilty. These crass examples should not serve to put us at ease but should rouse us to take seriously the earnestness of the plea: "Free me from my unknown guilt" (Ps 19:13)."

The Pope on his Mission

"The purpose of our [the clergy] lives is to reveal God to men. And only where God is seen does life truly begin. Only when we meet the living God in Christ do we know what life is. We are not some casual and meaningless product of evolution. Each of us is the result of a thought of God. Each of us is willed, each of us is loved, each of us is necessary."
Sermon at his inauguration Mass April 24, 2005
