40 Days for Life Kickoff

St. Anthony the Great, Abba Anthony said, 'I saw the snares that the enemy spreads out over the world and I said groaning, 'What can get through such snares?' Then I heard a voice saying to me, 'Humility.'"

Sep 18 Wed 6:30pm 40 Days for Life FALL CAMPAIGN KICK OFF
“Scar Tissue: Abortion’s Lasting Legacy” presented by: Cori Connor-Morse
There have been more than 56.3 million abortions in this country since 1973, and Cori Connor-Morse is one of the millions of women who made the decision to have an abortion. In her presentation she will share her 30-year struggle of regret, despair, forgiveness, mercy, and faith, and encourage all to choose life. Bring an appetizer or dessert to share, ST. JAMES PARISH CENTER, 87 Main Street, South Grafton MA 01560

Sep 19 Thu Worcester School Committee Meeting (Worcester City Hall 3rd Floor 7 pm), the superintendent will give a status update on the implementation of the COMMON CORE STANDARDS and how it will affect the Worcester district.
This is a very IMPORTANT meeting and we encourage anyone that cares about the future of our educational system to attend. You will be able to speak (2-3minutes). Worcester is the second largest city in the state and what’s done here affects everyone.

The Little known Common Core is criticized as a “program of dumbing down school standards and massive federal data collection from our students.”

Local Worcester County educational leaders have formed a group called Massachusetts Coalition for Superior Educational Standards please
like them on facebook.

The Mission Statement of this group is: The Massachusetts Coalition for Superior Education Standards (MACSES) seeks to preserve the high quality standards of the Commonwealth by repealing the decision of the Board of Elementary and Secondary Education in 2010 to adopt Federal standards, currently known as the Common Core, and to provide communication, coordination, and resources for groups that have a similar purpose.

The Common-Core Curriculum, while possibly well-intentioned, attempts to teach process or getting the correct answer, and will make Mathematics more difficult to learn (fuzzy Math)
It’s pornographic too
