Common Core updates

May 26 Mon - Happy Memorial Day

The new Common Core imposed by federal beaureacrats, would weaken our state's education system, which is already the strongest in the country. The Massachusetts Teachers Association (M.T.A.), which represents 110,000 teachers, recently elected an Anti-Common Core President, Barbara Madeloni, on May 10th. A clinical psychologist-turned-teacher, Madeloni was elected 681 to 584.

This vote shows that even the liberal education establishment is beginning to understand how bad Common Core is, but the message hasn't reached Beacon Hill power-brokers. Recently the legislature voted along party-lines to continue funding and implementing the Common Core. Every Republican voted to defund it, and every Democrat voted in favor.

The MA Dept. of Education is holding informational sessions on Common Core. This is an opportunity to voice your concerns and get answers to your questions. Please consider attending the one nearest you, and invite your legislator to attend!

I continue quoting from this work to assist our outreach to our brothers and sisters who have Same-Sex Attraction, SSA.
“For most people. This process of sexual identification proceeds without a problem, and by age three, if asked, ‘are you a boy or a girl/’ the child will look incredulous, as though the questioner must surely be blind, and reply confidently, ‘I’m a boy!’ or ‘A girl, of course!’.”
“As children grow, they find they have more in common with children of their own sex than with children of the other sex. Same-sex friendships become extremely important as the child consolidates his sense of masculinity or her sense of femininity. At this stage, familiarity leads to friendship, whereas complementarity – feeling essentially different from another person – creates mystery, which some believe is the foundation of romantic attachment. In adolescence, sexual desires appear and become associated with that mystery.”

I continue quoting from this work to assist our outreach to our brothers and sisters who have Same-Sex Attraction, SSA.

"In speaking about the ‘cause’ of same-sex attraction, we must always keep in mind that we’re talking about unique individual human beings, each with his own history. In different cultures and different eras , furthermore, there are different circumstances that can push a person down the path to same-sex attraction. And although people seldom consciously ‘choose’ to be attracted to the same sex, human beings nonetheless make many choices, some of which might help lead to SSA. No single pattern will ever explain all cases."
"[John Michael] Bailey’s research with Australian twins precludes a strictly biological or genetic cause for same-sex attraction, and it also precludes a simplistic causal pattern based on family structure – since twins are born into the same family circumstances at the same time, and share the same general experiences. What twins discordant for sexual attraction don’t share is exactly the same personal experiences, and exactly the same reaction to them. The origin of SSA, therefore, must lie in these non-shared experiences."

Senator Kelly Ayotte, R-NH, brought public attention to the stalling tactics of pro-abortion Democrats by rallying more than 30 U.S. Senators to urge Majority Leader Reid to bring the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act up for a Senate vote. But a top aide to the Senate Democratic leadership told the press: "We have no intention of entertaining that."

Coming to your school soon. What are the latest homosexual and transgender tactics targeting your schools? In the school "culture wars" nothing happens by accident, it’s carefully planned and executed.
Homosexual teachers, school officials, and education activists (and their "allies") -- along with children as young as fifth grade -- converged at GLSEN's 2014 Annual Conference in Boston last Apr 5th. At this "hands-on" event they introduced and discussed their latest strategies for thoroughly pushing homosexuality and transgender issues and behaviors into the minds of kids.

I continue quoting from this work to assist our outreach to our brothers and sisters who have Same-Sex Attraction, SSA.
“In 2001, Peter Berman and Hannah Bruchner conducted a study of sexual attraction in adolescent opposite-sex twins in order to test various theories for the origins of sexual attraction (Institute for Social and Economic Research and Policy, Columbia University)…The results provided what they called ‘substantial support for the role of social influences’ and led them to reject the simple genetic theory, hormonal transfer theory, and a speculative evolutionary theory for SSA.”
“Specifically, they found that in boy/girl pairs of twins, the boy was more likely to experience SSA in adolescence – but only if he had no older brothers. If SSA is related to early feelings of being different from persons of the same-sex and/or being like persons of the other sex, then a boy with only a twin sister is at greater risk of feeling more like a girl (even more so than a boy with only a non-twin sister, because of the close community between twins). Having an older brother to identify with, however, helps negate this risk. For researcher this clearly pointed to socialization as the dominant factor”

More Common Core

A Good Mandate Is Hard to Find While the Hill is knee-deep in the President's latest disgraces, conservatives are focused on another White House scandal: the HHS mandate. Benghazi, the IRS, NSA,EPA, and DOJ may hog all the headlines, but the four-year drumbeat against the White House's war on religious liberty goes on. For most Americans, time hasn't dulled the outrage over employers' forced participation in the President's sexual agenda. No amount of sound bites or accounting gimmicks seems to have softened voters' stance on the greatest attack on conscience rights our nation has ever seen. In fact, the needle has barely budged on people's opposition to the mandate, which orders organizations, businesses, even faith-based groups to pay for pills or procedures that violate their beliefs. Our latest survey, commissioned nationally just last week through WPA Opinion, shows a strong majority of Americans aren't buying the administration's talking points on the debate… WPA's conclusion is a blunt one for candidates this November: "There is broad opposition to the health care mandate... Democrats should be wary about being on the wrong side of this issue as voters that typically support them tend to oppose the mandate."

I continue quoting from this work to assist our outreach to our brothers and sisters who have Same-Sex Attraction, SSA. “There have been no replicated scientific studies proving that SSA is biologically predetermined and unchangeable; no studies showing that it is unchangeable. Those who nonetheless promote the myth of the ‘gay gene’ or claim that science has shown SSA to be genetically determined, often reference two studies, one done by Simon LeVay and the other by Dean Hamer, both self-identified gay men.” “In 1991, LeVay calimed to have discovered small differences between the brains of men with SSA and those without. However, LeVay had studied the brain tissue of men who had died of AIDS, and the HIV virus is known to affect the brain…LeVay has since quietly given up research in this area and backed away from the claim that his flawed study proves SSA to be genetically determined.” “In 1993, Hamer and his associates published an article in which they claimed to have found a ‘linkage between DNA markers on the X chromosome and male sexual orientation’ (Science 261 1993:321-327)…If Hamer had been correct in his conclusion that a particular genetic marker is more common in men with SSA, then anyone who replicated his experiment should have come up with similar results. Yet when a research team conducted the same tests several years later using a larger sample, they did not find a common marker. They concluded that the evidence ‘did not support an X-linked gene underlying male homosexuality.(George Rice, Science 284, 663-667)”
