In the world today, there are many outside influences that can affect the lives of young people. Most of what we see in the media presents a false reality - truth and happiness are distorted. This theme takes a look at how the world influences the way we live our lives, and how God presents us with a new, life-giving reality. The retreat has been organized by the Diocese of Manchester and is being run NET Ministries, a youth-to-youth ministry that encourages young Catholics to love Christ and embrace the life of the Church. A few weeks ago a man named Anand Grover, who holds the the ponderous title "Special Rappoteur for Health" at the United Nations, issued a report to the UN that says a right to abortion already exists in international law. You say you have never heard of this character? Why should you? He is a bureaucrat at the UN. This means he is charged by the UN with marauding all over the world putting pressure on governments to do things like make baby-killing legal.
Please pause for a second and ponder three truths.
First, what happens at the UN often happens in secret, that is, far from the eyes of every day people from around the world. Nonetheless, these happenings affect everyone in the world.
Second, the actors in these pro-abortion dramas are totally unknown to even senior policy makers in government.   I would guess that the typical senior adviser in the UN State Department, the Canadian Foreign Ministry or other seats of foreign policy, have never ever ever heard of this fellow Anand Grover.
Third, you know about him and his report and the meeting this week because of the Friday Fax and for NO OTHER REASON. http://www.c-fam.org/

What the mainstream media reports tell you about the "Occupy Boston" protests is, as usual, only part of the story. MassResistance went down last week and found out the rest. We saw a political ideology of communism, socialism and anarchism, with additions of anti-Israel, pro-Muslim, law-breaking, and other radical advocacy. Plus, like so many left-wing venues after a few days, the park they've taken over is now filthy and smells of urine.
That politicians support this is a Frightening - and illegal- double standard by government.

Pro-Life Boycott List

Life Decisions International, LDI has compiled the complete de facto list of Corporations that donate to Planned Parenthood, and presents a compelling case as to why all of us Pro-Lifers should boycott these businesses, and why we should write to the their CEOs and express our disgust with their business decision to financially support the largest abortion business in the United States. This list is updated, and so far 281 Corporations have stopped funding Planned Parenthood because of these boycotts, to the tune of $41 Million.
As you can see, this boycott is effective, and the list is accurate and up to date.
I cannot post the entire list online, but I will be calling out specific businesses that are on the latest list, and I'll be asking all of you to boycott their products and to contact their CEOs. It's the least we can do for our unborn bothers and sisters.

Prayer Needs;

Are you concerned about the leftward drift of the Massachusetts Republican Party? Do the Party’s pro-homosexual and pro-abortion positions bother you? If you’re willing to put in a little time, you can personally help turn things around.

There is a movement to attract good conservatives to run for the Massachusetts Republican State Committee in the upcoming elections. The State Committee is the “board of directors” that controls the Massachusetts Republican Party, makes its policy, and selects the Party Chairman.

Each of the state’s 40 State Senate Districts elects a man and a woman for the Republican State Committee. Thus, there are 80 State Committee Members: 40 men and 40 women.

To be blunt, the problem is that a majority of the State Committee members are RINOS. That’s why we’ve been in the mess we’re in. However, in the upcoming elections there are several members leaving, and several who are weak and could be beaten by the right candidate. That’s why we are asking YOU to consider running this year.

The duties are relatively easy. You go to a meeting once every month or so, and probably serve on a committee. But it’s the votes at the meetings that count. That’s why we need good people. If people like YOU are willing to run and make a difference, things could be turned around!

Unfortunately October is GLBT (Gay Lesbian Bisexual & Transgender) history month with Oct 11 as National Coming Out Day (NCOD), so parents and grandparents need to be extra vigilant about what their childrens' schools promote in terms of anti-family activities. Schools are required by law to notify parent's of these types of school sponsored activities, but often skirt the lay so MA Family Institute has a reporting web page to help control this anti-family harassment.

Tom McFeely reports on how the Canadian government has given millions of dollars to Planned Parenthood and the UN Population Fund in support of a new initiative on maternal health. The Harper government was heroic in standing down the Obama administration on abortion during the last G8 conference. Looks like they caved in a little bit. The good folks at Mater Care International, a group of Canadian doctored who labor in Africa, received not a dime.

Good News:
Rep. Cliff Stearns, a Florida Republican, has decided that it's time to investigate abortion giant Planned Parenthood, [previously] announc[ing] that his committee has sent a letter to Planned Parenthood, demanding records on how the organization spends the $363 million it receives from American taxpayers. Rep. Stearns also demanded documentation to determine if Planned Parenthood was properly following federal guidelines on the mandatory reporting of underage sexual abuse.
