CFP Letter to the Editor

I feel kind of bad for the women of the Worcester Diocese. The men have been having dynamic, powerful and orthodox speakers for over a decade at our conference. The women not so much.

What exactly is a “strong commitment to earth issues” and why is that a criteria for a speaker at a Catholic conference. I suppose a strong commitment is better than an average or even a weak commitment, but still? Then again maybe I'm just not sure what “saving and healing planet Earth” has to do with saving, and healing, souls.

Better luck to my Catholic sisters next year.

Sincerely,

Jay G

St. Paul's at 40 Days - Life Chain

Former Planned Parenthood clinic director, now Pro-Life Abby Johnson "identified 40 Days for Life as the SINGLE MOST EFFECTIVE pro-life activity that YOU can participate in locally to change hearts and minds about abortion. WOW!" Help to cover the vigil site (Planned Parenthood, 472 Pleasant St, Worcester) from 7AM –7PM for each of the 40 days. From the Newsletter: Just the other day, we were watching the old TV show “I Love Lucy,” specifically the episode “Lucy Goes to the Hospital.” You might remember it. Lucy is pregnant and has started to go into labor. Like many fathers, Ricky is very anxious. To help calm him, Lucy invites Ethel and Fred upstairs; but then she is surrounded by three anxious people. She goes to lie down. At this point, Ricky, Ethel, and Fred begin to rehearse their roles for when it’s time for Lucy to go to the hospital. Their rehearsal begins with Ricky, pretending he is Lucy, saying very dramatically, “The time has come.” Well, the time has come for our fall campaign. Each of us has a role, and this Wednesday we will join thousands of others in 301 locations in 48 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Canada, England, Spain, Germany, Australia, and Argentina to begin 40 days of prayer, fasting, and peaceful public vigil for an end to abortion. Our prayers will be for women who are contemplating abortion, for the conversion of those involved in the abortion industry, and for healing for the many who are hurting after abortion.

Chilean father Jaime López Allende has had sole custody of his daughters for the last eight years, has been an exemplary father, and is the girls’ preferred custodial parent. This didn’t matter when the transnational Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) ruled on a claim filed against the Chilean government by ex-wife Karen Atala, a Chilean judge who broke up their marriage to pursue a lesbian relationship.

Sep 20 Tue 10 AM Sex Education Hearing, State House in Boston Room A-2, H 155 is a carefully worded bill (written by Ray Neary) designed to change the Current Opt-Out policy of the innocence-corrupting anti-family Sex Ed classes inpublic schools to Opt-In. Specifically H 155 calls for the need for school curriculum transparency, prior review privileges and questioning of all involved, the need for written permission of parent/guardian, and a conscience clause without retribution. This Bill is in response to the radical Planned Parenthood Health Curriculum Frameworks (HB 179, 1063 & 1085 and SB 184 & 259) which forces all public school kids to be indoctrinated with their promiscuity policies through the trojan horse of comprehensive sex-ed. Steve DiNatalie, and sadly alleged Pro-Lifer John Fresolo have sponsored this attack on parental rights. Come testify in defense of H 155 to allow Opt-Out.
